BFR buster tank (tank destroyer lightning)

A common pool lightning varient with turret weapon replaced by a heavy fixed forward firing (can be elevated at angles for range shots) Anti-tank weapon with a special ability to go through shields.

Since BFRs use shields more than standard vehicles this would make it more effective agianst them however the shot dose do a considerible amout of damage to standard vehicles if they can hit them. Minimal splash damage (if any at all) means it will have a much harder time against light vehicles and MAXs. Also Air Cav and AntiVehicle Infantry would definatly be a considerible threat to this vehicle.

...personally I always thought the way to kill a BFR should be with ANOTHER BFR! I like the idea for something to be used against them, though I would prefer a tank that would disable their shields and weapons similar to EMP; allowing other vehicles to take it down.

I get uneasy about these "weapon to end war" vehicles when I look at BFRs, that's why the other empires have them. A tank like this should really be for support and not direct combat.

well as most people don't wait in an soi to charge shields for a vheicle that is why a shield penetrating shot would probibly affect BFRs more than vehicles. However the shot is supposed to do good damage against c=vehicles and verry little to no splash damage so it stays as a heavy vehicle killer. I think it might be slower than the lightning du to the weapon and armor upgrades.

However because the tank is such a specalist role (like a skyguard) it is definatly a support vehicle. With out them the BFRs can really tear apart a convoy or armor collumn.

Why don't implement a starwars like thingy... you know these snowspeeders?

Think about a lightweight, two manned vehicle, which is lightningh fast, but has almost no armour.

It is equipped with a hook which has to be shot right on target by the gunner, while the driver has to make sure to circle around the bfr for 4 times, (and not to get killed), once this has been done, they will be capable to pull the BFR off his feet!!!.... THAT WOULD BE SOOOOOO SWEET!!!!

Sorry but SOE was too lazy to make BFR triping animation. So instead of a BFR getting a leg blown off and fallen sideways or what not. It Spasims and blows up.

Me personally would like to see a leg blown off and the BFR colaps on a side before blowing up.

I actually like the idea of a tank destroyer based on the Lightning. Use the original Lightning design (originally had no turret, gun was on an elevation pivot) and give it a more powerfull gun with a flatter trajectory.

Also with the adition of the dragon I was thinking of a flame-lightning variant.
