Turrets Party !!!
Well since I have no idea where I should post some Designs so I guess I post under Wishlist. [Hayoo I thought we have a Concept Art section? maybe I am blind but I can't find it ^^ anyways]
These Turrets are first thought to be placed outside each Facility [I was thinking making a Partical Cannon Turret ... maybe that's too much oh well when I have time I will make it] These can be destroyed of course however it is semi-automatic and can be controled by players ... control station of these turrets can be found inside facility ... I don't know where LOL like the big computer thing in the Interlink Facility anyway here we go The Cannon Turret the Barrels will move according the the firing animation [should! I don't know how to animate yet so XP hahaha] ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now the Missile Turret ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And now the ChainGun/Rotary Cannon Turret ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thoughts? Oh the Turrets can be used in space theme I guess :D I also thought of making some Shield like structure extend from the Turret Base for Infantry Fire Cover -Kusutto |

Nice deisigns, the misile one could do with being taller and having more banks, if you know what I mean?
I like the shield idea too, though it could be going a bit far. |

The space defence turret Idea was to set up a Gun Tower as an Anti-Orbital Weapons platform. Also a souped up BFR to act in a specialized anti-orbital anti invasion role was another idea.
Have you seen the concept turrets that were posted in fan fare? When they come into play who knows?

if we do have a space are for battle and such, will need a cool design for the OS Platform.

whell ud have to not beable to kill it but mybe some defence turrets that are on teh Sation. mybe something wit hthe idea of the Zuse cannon From Final Fantsy Sprits movie.

two more turrets
the chaingun can be placed or should be placed on ceiling outside of any building [it's not an interior gun] ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() now the Missile/Rocket Launcher Turret ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I mounted these on a Weapon Building :3 look pretty cool [though the building is just a simple Rectangle box] -Kusutto |

Now if we could put a silo in the center of the roof to act as some sort of ancient tech anti orbital defence cannon.
Sorry I havent finished more concept art. Been getting ready for my move from the mid east back to the US this month. Dont know when but sometime this month.

About that Weapon Building
yeah I thought of 3 Weapons a. Artillery System b. Cruise Missile Silo/Launcher c. Partical/Plasma Weapon the original idea was this building along with a few small and basic build will form an outpost. These Outposts will be in random place/remote place or in the middle of nowhere [within the mountains within forest, idea is ... it should be far away from any facility]. a few on each continent Each empire will need to capture it to call in precision Bombardment when ready. [You can call in this Bombardment anywhere on the Map] Best demonstration will be, when a facility has been overrun. Send a squad or so to cap the Weapon Building, then call in Bombardment to clear the Courtyard and everything within that SOI the biggest problem will be to animate explosion of Cruise Missile, and Artillery Shelling effect. after some thought I would like to say ... screw the Plasma Weapon. I think SOE took my Empire Specific artillery weapon idea [VS] and use it on Flail, and used my Empire specific Lighting Weaponary on VS BFR as Anti-Infantry Lazer.... Beside Orbital Strike is already high Tech ... so conventional weapon should be enough and not overlap with OS :3 My other thoughts onthe weapon system was, it needs NTU to be able to launch attack. [It will need at least 70% NTU to fire it's weapon, but it needs more thoughts and actual game play]. Rearm time is 30 mins or longer, to prevent abuse and force commander to use them wisely. Did I mention only CR5 can use the Weapon Building? Because it needs ComUplink to upload Coordinates. oh well just some thoughts more to come -Kusutto Last edited by Kusutto : 2006.10.01 at 1918. |

I am leaning to the partical plasma type launcher since the tower would be an Ancient Tech Common pool weapon rather than an empire specific weapon platform for the anti-orbital role.
Basicly during an invasion you wont see the ships in orbit but you will be able to see the towers shooting at it and fire comming down. So for the towers firing I imagine a beam of energy shooting straight up at the sky to engage hostile starships in orbit. Similar to the beam of energy that wa seen in the game below. HAL0 tower beam link However I don't expect HAL0 towers. I would like to see Planetside towers with large energy beams shooting up at the sky.

Nice but I was thinking as the entire tower as the gun You got the energy capaciators at the basement that build up energy then shoot it through the center of the tower and up to the sky. Just like the tower in that game HAL0 if you ever walked inside you would see where the beam starts as it shoots up into the air. Have you ever saw the misle inteceptors launch? They only go in one direction. That is up.
The Land-Air Warfare turrets and enhancements are a great idea. As Towers hould be firebases and ammo fuel silos. (Dang I really need to get MAX or autocad installed) Sorry I didn't mean to disgrace you butiful tower sketch with MS paint but to better ilistrate the concept here is some adition. ![]() I imagine the energy shat in the center of the tower at the bottom is like a generator (that can be destroyed). Around the CC area is the controls and radar screen (look for the red) in which the designated CR that CUD linked with the tower can control and fire at orbital targets. Well that is my abstract addition. I am not a picasso by any means.

I want 3ds Max, I can't render in gmax. And I don't know how to use Blender ... it can't open gmax file format.
anyways I see what u mean I will work on one and yeah all missile fires straight up into the sky just made a Tomahawk like ballistic missile. Next coming up ... hum ... the Infantry Shield Cover pieces. |

I will make another one just for Partical/Plasma Artillery.
with underground level and CC perhaps and yeah the Gen will be underground. MAN I want those to be tested in the game ... LOL ok I don't have to make Turret Extended Infantry Cover... we can use the existing one. so what's next ... bah I haven't complete the fighter craft haven't I... [the reason why I haven't made any progress is because I am redesigning them.] so PPAC Generator and building.
