New bridge types

The general, bland bridge type is long over-due for changing. And, the terrain editing devs in Planetside could use something to do. I am proposing three types of bridges.

Bridge Type One:
The first bridge type should be much like the current bridge type, but with a few minor changes. Firstly, it needs to be expanded a little bit so it is wider. The current bridges get very clogged when BFRs and Tanks go across them, and a small bit of extra space would do a lot of good. Secondly, it needs some infantry paths. I propose using the extensions primarily for infantry paths, but also usable as BFR and Tank paths if the need arises. The infantry paths should be seperated from the main road by small rises that run parallel with the bridge. Thirdly, the bridge needs some lines. Atleast adding a middle line and two side lines that denote proper vehicle areas would be nice. This bridge would be the most used out of all three; it would cover small or medium expanses that are fairly low to the ground.





Bridge Type Two:
The second bridge type should be an Arc bridge, with two main surfaces. The top surface would be the exact same as the current bridge surface, but with some lines to denote proper vehicle areas. The bottom surface would be a system of catwalks. The catwalks should consist of two main walkways which run parallel to each other, and that are periodically joined by a cross piece. The bottom surface would be accesible from small underground tunnels (like those under some bunkers) which would link to one or two bunkers on their respective side of the bridge. Also, the main catwalks should have periodic pieces of metal that block passage and fire, to prevent sniping down the entire length of the catwalk. These could be passed by a small middle catwalk. The bridge should be supported by three large arcs which run parallel to each other and down the length of the bridge. The arcs would crest under the catwalk, and would be connected to the top of the bridge by pillars which are reminicint of the bridge type one supports. Two arcs should be on the side of the bridge, with their supports beyond the catwalk, and the middle arc should be in the middle, with its supports running between the gaps in catwalk. The catwalk would be supported by hanging cables and cross-supports from the main supports which run up to the top surface. These bridges should be most useful for very high spans of bridge.





Bridge Type Three:
The third bridge type should be a suspension bridge. The bridge should be supported by VERY large "legs" which support the bridge by cables that run down its face and connect to the top surface. The bottom surface of the bridge would be a system of catwalks, like bridge type two. However, the catwalks should go into each "leg" of the bridge, where they would connect to a small room. The room should have some boxes and things (like typical base rooms) and stairs at the side. The stairs should connect to a room higher up, which, in turn, connects to the top surface. These bridges should be most useful for very long spans of bridge that are low to the ground.





Final Notes:
I am almost done a list of bridges which should be changed.

Aut, that's a great render; but the middle one is supposed to have poles going through almost all the holes in the catwalk, as well as another arc below it, and add a few metal pieces on the connectors for the shields that prevent catwalk-long sniper fire. And thanks Hayoo. Oh, and don't forget the bunkers that the catwalks link to. No, ATVs couldn't get on the catwalks, because they couldn't go in the bunkers on either side.

Yes Aut, much better! But if you want to make it perfect, make some of the supports round and some tiered, so its not so blocky. And my idea was that the shields covered the whole catwalk walkway, but a connector was put as each one, so you could walk onto the connector and around them. Look at my top view. Oh, and the catwalk doesn't need doors, because the bunkers have them. And make the others please!
