SOE News Proposed Changes To BFR Flight Variants

  • Turn off the shields while they are in flight
  • The capacitor will drain while they in flight. The length of time flying will determine the health of the capacitor.
  • Anti-Air weaponry will lock on to a flight variant BFR while it is in flight
    • Ammo already fired and approaching BFR will turn into dumb-fire when the flight variant BFR lands
    • Flak will detonate when in proximity of BFR while the BFR is in flight (as it does against all other flight vehicles)
  • Advanced Targeting implant will show the BFR shield strength

I really like these changes.

Although Id rather the shields got removed from flight variants completely.

If memory serves, only three percent of the playing population has Battleframe Robotics certified at this point. More nerfs and less actual stylistic changes doesn't seem that it'd help.

This would be fine if they didn't remove taking the shields off. Everyone agrees it should be considered an air vehicle when jumping. Also, they shouldn't be able to land on trees/buildings.

But FVs are the real problem with BFRs, GVs are fine how they are. GVs it takes 4 decis to take down the shield and another 3 to drop the BFR. Get three guys hotswapping decis and a GV is done in no time because it can't move out of the way.

FINALLY Anti-Aircraft weaponry effects flying Fagbots, should've been like this from the start.

The other nerfs sound good aswell, GG SOE!

heeh, I suppose it would carry more weight if you did play!

FVs aren't THAT bad now - just really annoying. This changes should make them easily killable... almost too easy for an 8+ cert point.

thoes eight points are just paying the "cool" tariff.

a giant walking flying robot... it's cool, no denying that. just not practical for the game.
