New Implant Idea

Well since there are new implants on the way, i might as well come with an idea iv'e been thinking about. Well it's called '' The Reaver Shield Implant ''. When activated the implant will be like an extra shield for your air craft, including the reaver and the mosquito. As you get hit by the enemy in your aircraft implant shield drains your stamina, just like for example personal shield does, only you dont lose stamina as you have it active, it keeps up at 100 % until you are hit.

This would probably go under another ablility for Personal Sheild. Good idea though.

Absorbing 100 points of damage would only let you withstand 1 extra Sparrow/Starfire missile/orb. Kinda pointless.

With the size of AA clips, that one extra would mean all the difference in the world!

It would be a stealth buff for the Burster who can just hold down the trigger and a stealth debuff for the Starfire who can't reload or else lose lock on all the orbs.

"Stealth" and "Buff" in the same sentence usually conclude with the use of tear gas.

Hmmm i kinda have to agree here. Means that the MBTs and lightings are easier kills for the air cav boys :/

so when did lightnings take on reavers, only this lightnings do is scare em away, and of coarse they dont have any problem taking on a mossy ? :O and anyway, the VS AA max take air cav pilots down like flies, that 1 shot could enable the pilot to get away

Lightnings are free XP for a Reaver, 1 clip is a dead Lightning (not counting shields, and all rockets must make a direct hit). Their good for taking down Mossies tho, and 2 or more can easily take down a Reaver aswell.

As a dedicated pilot, I hate AA MAX Units, especially the sneaky Bursters, but being able to take 1 more shot from an AA MAX is useless, since it'll only save you 1 out of 20 times from death.

Trouble is, AA MAXs can ONLY kill air cav, while Air cav can kill, well anything in the game.

Lol, the only real threats to a Reaver is Mossies, which it can take down with its cannon, AA MAXs, which die in less than a clip of Rockets, Skyguards, which are torn apart by Rockets if they dont see the air cav coming and then theres AA BFRs... which cant kill Reavers in a single clip anymore.

Air Cav needs more predators, it does not need any help.

I disagree. Although I havn't been in air cav in awile (come to think of it, I should rebuy the mozzie when I reach br16...) I always die pretty quickly unless I am just doing flybys or air cover. Either everyone has some sort of AA now or I just suck at flying. (PLZ don't flame the hell out of this post! :D ) I also think the Rocket gun flack was a great idea for regular infantry. Viva la infantry!

Simply put: AA vs Air Cav, visa versa, stats are close to perfect. Leave it alone.

Hardly, Id like to see 10 infantry defend an AMS from 1 Mosquito.

All the Mossie does is sit at range and tear the infantry apart as they spawn, until they spawn somewhere else.

As soon as someone pulls an AV weapon, the Mossie concentrates on him or flies off to come at them again from a different angle.

The Rocklet Flak ammo was a good idea, and now Infantry can scare off low hovering campers... but thats it, its useless at range or against fast moving aircraft.

I have. Several times in fact. Trust me, compared to real ground vs air combat it's pretty unealistic.
