To be blunt, I love how the BFR sheds function. They allow you to purchase your biffer to one of 5 userdefined presets and 1 default preset. I wish to expand on this to all vehicles.
I fully understand the database limitations on this as the BFR system functions from the ability to make 5 favourites just for BFRs. To do this for all vehicles would be a strain, but since we already have 5 favourites set aside for general vehicle use, it would be very useful to be able to spawn vehicles to those presets. Further more, I would like to allow users to spawn vehicles with a variety of access settings. It's rather annoying having to kick someone out of your vehicle because you forgot to change the settings at the moment it spawned. Finally, the rearm silo. I honestly do not like having to use up my favourite slots to reload my vehicles to their default setting. I want to use those favourite slots for something other than the default settings, mainly because adding the ability to spawn from your favourite would be redundant. Instead, I would like the ability to reload the trunk to it's factory settings at the press of a button. This is not something that would strain the servers as those settings are already there. |

Customizable vehicle systems would add new life to PS.

From the first time I heard Early mention something like this on TS a long time ago I've thought this was a good idea. As for extra DB strain, adding new life to the game means new players to pay for any extra DB costs. I'm sure there is someone out there who can do a cost benefit analysis for SOE and submit it to them.

Things like this apparently take up a hella lot of memory on the (lets face it) already clogged servers.
People have been asking for extra favourites on equipment terminals since launch but it's always denied as it just isn't possible. The Spaces given to BFR's were practically obligitory to compliment ther design. It's a nice thought, but i don't think it will happen anytime in the near future :(

I don't see how the space needed can be huge, a .txt doc can be like, 2kb.

Yeah but something tells me it's a little bit more complicated than that.
Otherwise it would be done wouldn't it?
