If anyone has tips on using 3dsMax, it's plugins or material editer, please post it here. I know many people including me need help with it.

How do you create high detailed materials/maps, I made a space station and I want to skin it.

no I'm trying to learn to use GMax which is free and 3dsMax doesn't wanna d/l when I try and get it through bittorrent

Well I got my 3dsmax from a friend. :rolleyes: and I have no idea where he got it ;)

for some games its a good idea to have the photoshop plugin DDS file format.. good for skins...i think PS uses it but i'm not sure
