on the box, i saw that they say "made with real fruit!"

i thought to myself, 'hah, what a joke. i need to make fun of that.'

so i sit down, and start eating it, and poise to post about it.
in my 'make a post' flow for cynical threads, item two is 'back up with facts,' so naturally i picked up the wrapper, in order to list ingredients and bolster my argument.

i'm vastly dissapointed.

Pears from concentrate, corn syrup, dried corn syrup, sugar, partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil, citric acid, sodium citrate, acetylated mono and diglycerides, mectin, malic acid, vitamin c (ascorbic acid), natural flavor, color (red 40, yellow 5, blue 1).

Okay we need to STOP THE NEGATIVITY IN THIS THREAD.

There can be NO MORE BLASPHEMY on the subject of Fruit Roll-Ups - they are the end all, be all confectionary delight.

Chocolate isn't a "confectionary delight".

Chocolate is the nectar of God.

The best marketing ploy I've seen are the fat-free candies. And by candy, I mean hard candy stuff. How can something made of pure sugar not be fat-free? And just because it's fat-free doesn't mean it won't make you fat.

Fucking fatties everywhere.

Personally, I feel the liquid sugar kind is the best... Mountain Dew, Code Red, and Live Wire top my charts of favorite forms of sugar. As for confectionary delights, though the Fruit Roll Up is good, it can't hold a candle to chocolate in all it's splendor... or pudding... or things flavored chocolate... or that which is dipped in chocolate and eaten. And Jelly Beans...
