EA Securing NCAA Exclusivity?

First it was the NFL. Then came ESPN. And now, it appears Electronic Arts is very close to securing another license: NCAA Football. Sources tell us that the publishing powerhouse will soon announce an exclusivity deal with the NCAA, enabling only EA to make football games using university squads (thus shutting another football door in the face of rival 2K Games).

Reps from EA won't confirm or deny the rumor (or whether this will include college basketball titles), but expect plenty more info in the weeks to come.
Is there even anyone to challenge anymore?

Who gives a shit about sports "games" anyway. They are absolutely stupid. My roommates play them all the time... they play a shitty team for "15 years" until they win the championship and expect everyone to think it's an accomplishment.

Who gives a shit. Play a real game.

I hate EA.

They buy out every liscence and every company they can get their hands on, they're the biggest and they want bigger.

If you're working for EA, you have to put up with such things as "perma crunch time" and "can't go home till you've finished everything, even if it means staying in the office for 3 weeks straight"

Don't forget, after all that effort, you're going to get pulled back into the office for the EA tradition of "someone screwed up, we need a patch by release day"

Bunch of scumbags, the lot of em.
