Got Battle for Middle Earth? Sick of EA Games crap?

I've created dummy movie files for the unskippable EA Games and New Line cinema intros and the THX and Pentium 4 adverts. Any BFME player knows these are highly annoying. These files simply replace those movies with 0 second long empty dummy files, effectively skipping them completely.

Is Battle for Middle Earth and good?

Not really, no.

I played it for about a day then it got boring. It's pretty much a C&C generals mod.

Ya it's Sage.

No I don't consider it a Generals mod at all. Firstly units come in squads, that's never happened in a CnC game. All units gain meaningful experience, all the way up to Rank 20. Arrows can actually kill people in 1 shot (gasp!) stuff can actually miss! (gasp!)

It's like Total War lite. It's less micromanagement and more grand strategy. Cavalry charges through units knocking them all over the place, elephants rampage through armies.. that kind of thing. Makes good use of the license and plenty of replayability online. Rohan could have used a few more units though..

I didn't feel it had much replay value. AI always does the same thing and can only win with sheer numbers(Playing as evil was EXTREMELY easy btw)
