Every single review I've read says "It's the exact same game, why the fuck are people trying to make me pay for it?"
So, I will not be playing it. Rumors on Evil Avatar say that there will be a CS made off the HL2 engine shipping with the next generation Nvidia cards. But I think that's probably bullshit.

I think that's what they get for not playing any other games since CS started up.

i stopped playing cs shortly after it went retail. too many newbies flooded in, diluting the beta types like myself... it got un-fun fast

I finally gave up on CS about a year ago. I played with some friends from home on an advanced teamplay type server they ran. It was good fun, but it finally got to the point that there were fucktards there, even with the massive adminning and ban lists.

My CS days died about the time that we stopped playing it at LAN parties back in CLT. Then we switched over to playing UT 2k3 a lot more... Ahhh... Invasion... memories

I haven't seen any of the LOTR movies. I've been planning (in my head) a marathon, where we watch someone's boxed DVD set (and you know one of us will own it by then), and then having some massive LANnage occuring in the afterwards.
In my head, I've devoted a week to the mayhem.
