View Full Version : PC speed issues
I can't figure this out for the life of me, but my computer is taking minutes to load simple programs. For example, My Computer. -_-
Anyone have any ideas as to this?

Can you hit ctrl-alt-del and bring up the program manager and see what using all your CPU cycles / RAM?

Not much to go on here but if you don't have this, Ad-Aware, Personal (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php) or a similar product. Try it. Spy and adware runs in the background on virtually every unprotected (and many protected) computers that are on the web. This is the free version, run it once a week and keep it updated. This is also free and quite good too, Spybot, Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html) run them both periodicly to keep your machine spyware free.

Two very good programs that I also reccomend. For throughness, download both programs and do a scan with both (but not at the same time, haha).

Both the programs are very heavy and coz of these programs running your system speed is very slow. To ensure good speed keep the the stat up item list as small as possible.
