View Full Version : Spyware
Someone else used my computer and got some spyware on it. Adaware and Norton have failed to remove all of it.

Adaware
Spybot Search & Destory
both great stuff too.
Ah, this leads to my second problem. After I had my motherboard replaced several months ago, I could no longer download things manually from microsoft. Automatic updates functions, but because the cd key didn't stick to the new board I can't download things like Microsoft anti spyware beta. Any way around this?
EDIT:
spybot didn't find anything

Generally I recommend a complete windows reinstall after installing a new motherboard. But it looks like everything worked out for you.

Just got the same spyware. I've been able to hunt down most of it, but still can't get my background back.
Sweet background, btw!

Ok, I used that microsoft anti-spyware thing, and it worked great, got rid of the last annoying pop-up I kept getting.
But I still can't get my background back. What'd ya do for that, Kam?
