Constitution of Tango Uniform (Echo Romeo) Forums
The following must be adhered to by all members of the TU community.
The Forum Do’s:
1 ) All news articles linked on the forums must be credited, preferably with a link.
2 ) It is always better to post in an old thread than to make a new one.
3 ) Always take private matters (including flames) to an aptly-named Private Message.
4 ) Always post new and hilarious links in the forums.
5 ) Do keep posts constructive and on-topic. If you want to start a new discussion based off a thread’s discussion, please do so in a new thread. If you feel like posting a smiley face is the only contribution you could possibly make to a thread, please do not post.
6 ) Do try and post random images rarely. When you do, be creative and funny, at least.
7 ) Do ignore someone who is trying to start a fight with you or is just pissing you off.
8 ) You can swear on these boards, but please don’t make us sift through your curse-filled post to get to the bottom of what you are trying to say.
9 ) Do feel free to post any opinion on any subject that you can think of, with the following topics being firmly off-limits: Nazi’s, Neo-Nazi’s, Racism, Sexism, or anything that the moderation team deems “flame-bait”. You know what flame-bait is, and if we know you’re someone who should know better, your punishment will be more severe than an honest n00b.
10 ) Do be respectful of the moderation team at all times. They are here to uphold the community that you have come to know and love, so please trust that all judgments made by the team are in the best interest of the community.
The Forum Do Not’s:
1 ) Do not flame. This means, do not post something just to make a dig at someone else, or post something that will intentionally piss someone else off. If you have to make a snide comment at someone, send them a Private Message and keep the drama off the boards.
2 ) Do not incite drama. Whatsoever. If you feel the need to start an episode of Days of Our Lives with someone, do it in a Private Message and save us all the crap.
3 ) Do not troll. This means, do not post spam nonsense. Post something constructive or don’t post at all. This also includes posting just a smiley face or posting “ofn” in any variation.
4 ) Do not post flame-bait. That is, pictures of dead babies to show why you are “Pro-Life” or threads about how Nazi’s are so cool.
5 ) Do not post Warez. Ever.
6 ) Do not post porn. That is, no images of women’s naked breasts or men’s genitalia. A good rule of thumb is, if it gets covered up by a bathing suit, don’t post it.
7 ) Do not post snuff videos. That is, no videos of beheadings or murders or suicides or anything of the sort.
8 ) Do not post the words “old fucking news” or “ofn”. If that is all you have to contribute to a thread, do not post.
9 ) Do not post cliché images.
10 ) Do not create spam threads. Have a point to the threads you create. Threads should spark discussion.
The TangoUniform forums will utilize a Three-Strike system. Three instances of Formal Moderating will lead to a Permanent Ban. All disciplinary action is at the discretion of the moderating team. If you feel that you have been unjustly disciplined, please send a Private Message to all members of the Moderation Team and appropriate action will be taken.
If you post something off the “Do Not’s” list, you will automatically receive a Forum Warning.
* If, in a period of 24 hours after your first Forum Warning, you again post something off the “Do Not’s” list, you will receive a temporary 7-day ban.
* If, in a period of 3 days after your first Forum Warning, you again post something off the “Do Not’s” list, you will receive a temporary 3-day ban.
* If, in a period of 7 days after your first Forum Warning, you again post something off the “Do Not’s” list, you will receive a temporary 1-day ban.
*If you post something off the “Do Not’s” list more than 7-days after your original warning, you will receive another Forum Warning.
*If you make three posts off the “Do Not’s” list, you will be Permanently Banned from the TangoUniform forums. No exceptions and no explanations will be accepted.
