I am sure that some of you are aware of the cursed rabbit that Microsoft pulled out of its ass. To the dismay of everyone, they announced the "Core System," which is 299 compared to the 400 the full version costs. For this 299, you don't get HD compatibility, no wireless controller support, no hard drive, and no live support. Not only has this enraged the gaming community, but also the developers. This is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen, Bill Gates should be shot.

I'm pretty sure everyone already knew it was going to be expensive. I don't really see it as much of a surprise. I think the PS3 is probably going to be in the neighborhood of that price but I could be wrong. We shall see.

The outrage was in not the price of the full version, it was that Microsoft would even market such a piece of crap as the three shitty.

People were already mad enough when the 360 ran on G5s at E3.

Well look at it this way. If you have to buy the "shitty" xbox then chances are you don't have HD, also controller wires are long as hell, don't know about the hard drive thing, and from what I've seen the Live is pretty advanced or so it's claimed.

I too think it's a crap bundle, but I want to clear up a few things. First the Xore system can still do HD -- you need to get the cables seperately. It also does support wireless controllers -- it just don't come with any (it comes with 1 wired controller). Yes, it has no hard drive, and therefore no backwards compatability, but it does support live, it just doesn't come with a headset.
