Considering the rampant numbers of fodderbags, er... grunts, who would be more than willing to draw all the fire while I sneak around sabotauging everything, why not have a merit opened cert class for the dedicated grunt.

Merit: Shocktrooper Merit

Requires - 7500 kills, 1000 kills with HA weapons, 500 kills with MA weapons, 20 kill streak, 1 year of service.

Doing so, one can unlock...

Certification: Commando Assault (CA) - Allows access to Shocktrooper Weaponry.

Commando Assault contains an empire specific "Super Heavy Assault" gun.

[VS Weapon]: Backlash
Ammo: Energy Clip
Clip Size: 100
Weapon: Lasher Orb
Method of Fire: The Backlash charges up half an energy cell, creating a flux of Lasher Orbs, it then slingshots 25 orbs at once, in a mildly tight cone.
Charge for Shot: 2 seconds
Rate of Fire: 3 seconds
(Usefullness): The ultimate tunnel weapon, realeasing the deadly hail of energy upon hapless foes can result in only one thing. A big pile of flaming NC corpses.
(Drawback):Without support, a person carrying this weapon is easy prey to enemies in an open area. Having to be aimed at them at all times during the charge in order to hit them, this is a very simple to dodge weapon in open combat.

[NC Weapon]: Trasher
Ammo: Grenades
Clip Size: 6
Weapon: Frag/Plasma/Jammer Grenade.
Method of Fire 1: Fire three of the same grenade at once.
Method of Fire 2: Fire six grenades in quicker than thumper succession.
Rate of Fire 1: 3 seconds
Rate of Fire 2: .5 seconds
(Usefullness): A shoulder mounted grenade launcher good at drowning an entire group of enemies in plasma, or maybe just pumping a triad of frag grenades at that pesky TR MAX.
(Drawback): Reloading is going to be required after every one or two shots depending on type of fire. This is a major griefing weapon so idiots wil soon learn "Don't use that". It also will chew through ammo a bit faster than the Backlash.

Ammo: 9mm clip
Clip Size: 200
Weapon:Standard/ AP Bullets
Method of Fire/Rate of Fire: The gun takes two clips, and fires at twice the rate of the Mini-Chain. CoF bloom after more than 4 seconds of saturated fire is insane (think.... bolt driver)
(Usefullness): Saturation Fire. The Arm mounted Chaingun would normally create too much recoil to control, however, the unique arm fitting mount it uses allows for it to be a practical weapon. Fearsome vs both troops and vehicles.
(Drawback): It devours ammo and the one using it would need constant refill. It is in no way quick to draw, due to the process of allowing it to fit to your arm via the mount, it has a 5 second take out/put into inventory timer. CoF bloom.

Awesome art! And, a cool concept. :) I'm always for more weapons. The only issue I see is with the Chaingun. You've taken what is arguably the best HW in the game and just... made it even better. If you gave it a HUGE CoF then that might compensate somewhat, however.

While it's a cool concept, I would not like to see it in the game. These are much too much like the 'golden guns.' One shot one kill. That shot has to hit - but only one of them.

Anyways, aside from that - give the thrasher a six bullet clip and have secondary fire six at once.... That way the numbers fit better.

If implemented, the number needs to be more like 10000 kills, 2500 with HA, 2500 with MA, and a streak of 25.

If your giving such good weapons as reward, it has to be a challenge.

The 1 Year of Service is a good one, but I still think the numbers are way to low, an average player has those number in like 3-4 months, killwhores in 1-2.

true but my thoughts were that most players have a fair grasp on what their place in planetside is after about 3 months. Not everyone will want these guns, especially saying thier HA counterparts are still far more usefull than them in many ways. These are soley a bonus to the hardcore grunt, not the elite trooper who wouldn't need nor want a heavy hitter, bad accuracy gun.
