Rocklet gun > Decimator?
Anti vehicular ES > Thumper?
Opinions?
Decimator>>>>>>>>>>>>>rocklet rifle
AVES > Thumper for Vehs
Thumper > AVES in any indoor situation

Well I like th Rocklet gun for it's secondary fire mode; spamming soldiers at close range is an almost garanteed kill. I nver liked the fact that the Decimator has only 4 shots.

*three shots*
Great damage though and you can just swap them around.

Punisher>Thumper unless your hunting BFRs. Then you want 4 decis and an emp thumper.

The punisher is the best bfr hunting weapon. AP bullets with Jammer grenades. lso carry decis. or AV. thats what i use and its super easy.
AV > SA, for me. Less grief, more dead vehicles. And I'm a big fan of the Lancer and the Phoenix, though I rarely get to loot a lancer. :(
For all around versatility, Special Assault is probably the best weapon cert for the job (and it also happens to be the only one I don't have). For three certification points you get the Thumper, the Rocklet, and the Radiator. The Thumper ALONE is worth three cert points - with plasma grenades, it's a two shot kill if both shots are direct hits. Everyone's familiar with the infamous Thumper spam - one of the most effective ways to suppress infantry from going into doorways. The Rocklet is far less used but still an okay weapon. It can probably solo a MAX unit as long as it's not an anti-infantry max unit. Although it can kill an infantry unit it takes a full clip and you can't miss a shot. It can function as light anti-infantry - so basically, it's a close range "jack of all trades" weapon. It even functions as one of the only handheld weapons that can be used effectively as an aircraft deterrant. The Radiator is an incredibly useful suppression weapon - just don't expect to get kills.
Anti-Vehicular is a far more specialized certification. If you can only get ONE weapon certification, or you want the awesome suppression that the Thumper gets you, get Special Assault. If you're planning on grunting more and getting more weapon certs, Anti-VEhicular is probably for you.
The Radiator is an incredibly useful suppression weapon - just don't expect to get kills.
Heh forgot about the raidiator....
It's useful and fun and brilliant against vehicles. My favourite story is of the time my friend fired a radiator at an enemy gal. Chaos ensued.
It depends, really, the rocklet isn't something to depend on, the Thumper is the reason you should want SA, it's great as a squad support weapon and can defend towers single handedly. If you want to be able to destroy vehicles well get AV.
I would say that if you already have HA then AV is the better choice.. but if you only have MA get SA instead. (IMO)

I think it's 3 hit with thumper if you want to kill with plazma. Frag is 2.

For some reason, I don't seem to use the Thumper all that much. I'll give it a whirl next time i'm on.
Are you sure Captain? I could have sworn that two DIRECT hits with the Thumper, assuming that the other person didn't turn on Personal Shield or use a Medical Kit, was a kill.

I'd take AV over SA against MAX Units or Vehicle anytime, SA owns against Infantry tho!

Dosnt the radiotar kill infantry in side vehicles?
Dosnt the radiotar kill infantry in side vehicles?
Yes, he radiator ignores armor and degrades your health.
Dosnt the radiotar kill infantry in side vehicles?
Yep. ^^ Now imagine the damage a radiator could do against a gal full of people....It may not get kills but it's still brilliant. :)

Heeheehee! That sound like mass panic to me!
Great damage though and you can just swap them around.
I never got how to do that. COuld I have some help PLZ?
you can't swap decis anymore, that got removed in 3.7
if you want to see how it used to be done, check out neopheonix's bfr hunter guide in the wiki, he has a great illustrated writeup.

Like Martyr said, they removed it in the last patch but here is Murda's Tribute to Hotswapping (http://planetsidemovies.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=2747). You can still put a deci in slot 2 and 4 on rexo and fire a deci shot a little faster than the normal refire time.

Wow. That really sucks. I wonder why they removed that feature. Was it cause it was becoming too easy to kill BFRs and pilots?

That was a really nice vid! It makes me wanna go BFR hunting! I might try that this friday...
So roughly how many Deci shots does it take to destroy a BFR or a MAX?

It was never a feature, except of the unintended type. Lots of people have noised it about in the past because it's technically an exploit, and I guess the devs either had to take it out or rationalise leaving an exploitable bug in the game.

I believe the current figures are three Deci shots for a MAX. Not sure on the BFRs, but I think it's five or six direct hits for a flight variant and a few more for a gunner?

Three for a MAX, 4-5 for a FV and 6-7 for a GV I believe.
I THINK it's 3 deci shots on a FV if you are in it's shield and 4-6 for a GV in it's shield.

Well, I'll find out soon enough.

Takes 6+ shots from a deci to take a flight. Only 3 from what I recall for flight but it might be 4.
I also found out another way to attack BFRs. AP AMP. Yes the AMP. A clip and a box will take about 1/6 of a BFR's health away and you can easily kill it's shield. You don't even have to jammer it unless it starts to run. But who would run from an AMP? >=D
I'm a genius!
holy....man thats cool, i remember when 1 mag of ap ammo in an AMP could bring down a max
