Karn has BFR Buster Gold and needs like 140 kills for Platinum.
Anyway, taking out hotswapping is the lamest thing the Devs have ever done.
Again, they listen to the whining newbs and nerf the veterans cause else the newbs can't kill.
Been in since Beta, now the take it out, f*cking tards.

yeah, the no more hot swap sucks. I just learnded myself how to do it. But I don't think the hunting will die - i've gotten all 18 of my busts without hot swapping, and i've been going for 2 weeks. Now you just have to do it in teams...

sorry to bring back an old thread, but just wanted to add some fun for you hunters. Cert assault buggy and get a buddy. You both have rexo and an all deci loadout, that way you can still fire the decis at hotswap speed pretty much. Some creative driving is needed and you have to make sure they dont see you on the way up. Mental and I were doing this a few weeks ago and had problems when we tried to go headon lol. You may even be able to pull this off with just one person, but you def have a higher success rate with a friend.
About a week ago I used my last remaining cert that I switch around with flail etc. to Harraser and loaded the trunk with 3 decis, some jammers and a gluegun. Then I saved the trunk loadout and named it "Harrising Bfr Buster Ride" and I get some outfit mate to go bfr hunting with me and I drive up close and we bail and the bfr see's the harraser thinkin: "Ohh free kill" and then we jammer him and blow him to kingdom kong. Best thing about the harraser is: Its fast, both people in it can bail out and you can have rexo on.

Pack on an infil suit, fill up with ACEs, have a buddy do the same and hunt BFR's that are in the middle of a fire fight.
8 boomers around their feet and they go boom real quick.
90% of the time they don't see you coming.

The Biffer user must be an utterly big retard if he doesn't notice a guy placing 8 boomers around him.
I doubt any Biffer user stands around long enough for 8 boomers to be placed, if he does, than he deserves to die.

Woot SnH. At any rate, I've stumbled upon a relatively good method of taking biffers down. Requires Rexo and a lot of distractions though.
A Jammer loaded thumper and a Rocklet Rifle actually does the trick quite, quite well.

..I know how to do it, but I probably will hardly touch it. I'm just gonna announce my damned retirement. I'm gettin too old for this shit. Had my fun, had my run. Once Ender makes Platinum, we'll have a huge-ass party in a tower somewhere, and it's there I'll delete my BFR Hunter inventory favorite.

Merits turn some people into assholes...Rav3n TKed a noob at MY AMS because the noob killed him on accident breaking his streak. Then he kept on doing it. I was going to get out and own his ass, but there was a fight to be had.

Mines are better anyhow. Auto reloads into your weapon slot, placement is faster, and the damage difference is a mere 250 dmg (mine does 1600 dmg, boomer 1850). Two cloakers placing mines will kill a BFR really, /really/ quickly, as two mines bursts the shield and some armor, and four more will assuredly do them in.
7500 / 1600 = 5 Mines
7500 / 1850 = 4 Boomers and a tiny bit more damage. (100 armor left is something really, really small. Any prexisting armor damage and four boomers is enough. It makes Boomer traps useful to set if you're going solo and know they're coming.)
Oh, and thats for GV's. For flight variants:
5200 / 1600 = 4 Mines (or 3 Mines with 400 armor left, which is less than two Fury rockets of damage.)
5200 / 1850 = 3 Boomers (Easily enough to kill the FV, with extra damage left over.)
The three boomers works great if he's hopping way up and down in one spot. When he jumps, plant one. Jump, plant another. Jump, plant the third. Drop the dets, and when he lands, nuke him. If you only glance him, he'll be jammed and hurt, and you ought have enough room in Infil for one more mine/boomer.

I use the all mighty punisher on BFR's. Ittd the perfect gun to hunt em with.
AP rounds. Jammer grenades ,rockets , jamer Rockets and frag rockets.

It takes some timing and practice, but if you know where they are coming and have a minute, you can set up pretty quickly and get one or two.
Now, for real fun, set up all twenty boomers across a road, get someone to lure a few vehicles towards you (BFRs, MBTs, etc.) get them bunched up with you in the center of your boomers, and pull off an EMP. Watch the fireworks.

If you guys really want to kill BFRs go get a Vulture. The Vul can kill a ground varient in one pass, if you use it right that is! >=D
