... OF EVERYTHING.
we need photographers to take pics with high graphics settings of everything in the game. weapons, vehicles, armor, facilities, towers, ammunition, landmarks.

I'll start taking some tomorrow after work, since my mad l337 computer can actually run with everything maxed, heh.
Get Mag's supahcomputah on it. Mines moderate, so not superfantasticomghax.
rockin'. remember, alt+u disables HUD, alt+n disables name, and some other stuff disables waypoints. we want the cleanest possible shots - and i like to process them all in photoshop to correct contrast & levels for planetside's gamma settings, which aren't factored into the shots.
bored?
i have these cropped, shopped, and uploaded, but too tired to install them on their respective pages.

also, the generator is really badass (and that's a good template, if you want)

Excellent work.
I've secured a host for these images, so these insanely large files are now freely available to you guys. There are two sizes to choose from. 800x600, mainly for use on websites without forcing most people to sidescroll and the full sized 2800x2100 files. Remember, they're huge.

I intend to make various versions of the continental maps to show the various changes over time, but I need to attain all the necessary information to make it accurate (what changes happened when, what the changes actually were), plus I really need to add the bridges to them.
Oh, and don't forget these (http://planetside.station.sony.com/game_updates/development.jsp?category=Game&id=63497) images of the BFR weapons as well as the images from the fansite kits. They're high res and clutter free.

BFR Weapons pics are sweet, but it would be better if the Continental Map pictures had the bases, towers, SOI's and all on them.
These empty pictures arent very usefull....
Yeah, I know. I made that post on the IdeaLab forums to aid people coming up with ideas.
I might look at making a swf for each continent to show the timeline of changes. Can you guys use that on the wiki?

Since I don't want you to work on stuff for nothing, I have to tell you that a timeline of changes for each continent is an awesome addition to the Wiki, and I'd love to read it all when your done, but I doubt much people will find it usefull, since it's history.
People won't have any use for it, only the few that like to know more about PlanetSide's history.
Even though, I think it would be a cool thing to add in the Wiki, and I'd definitly check it out if you'd make it, I just don't want you to put a lot of time into something that won't be looked it by a lot of people.
I might be wrong about this all though....
*EDIT* Just my opinion though, if you want more opinions, you should ask what other people think about it.
holy crap, the idealab comes through!
the thread is this one, and it has some pics with lattice, too.

i think it'd be great to include the blank maps in the wiki articles along with lattice maps, and i can DEFINITELY use those blank maps for the advanced cartography stuff i want to do - like the terrain relief maps, landmarks, tactical maps, etc

How come I can't access that page martyr?
It's for the Usergroup Concept Division. Just sign up for it and We'll give you access. Otherwise, Martyr or Rahl can do it remotely.

June 21, 2005: Neutral Continent Lattice revision

Thanks Hayoo, that's a useful time scale to work to. However, the bulk of the information that's needed involves the actual Lattice structure changes during these times. i.e. when did the link between Wele and Chuku get removed? During the LLU update? The BWG update? The Capitol update? 1HC update? 2 HC update? or the Neutral cont Capitol removal update? That's going to be the pain in the arse in getting this done. There are a lot of undocumented changes out there :(
