as you can see, i can see me. i could move, aim, shoot, jump, talk, except... my view was up there in the tower.

the way it happened: i and another guy were deconning at an ams outside this tower. i think i was able to decon before he was gone all the way. the result was a noise, and the camera went into dead-mode, where it goes third-person and orbits for a while, then stops.

BUT.

it orbited the inside of this tower, adjacent to the AMS.

and i never deconned.

after waiting a bit, i realized i was still alive, and couldnt pull up the menu to recall, as i had already done so.

looking at my minimap, i ran back into the tower where i could see myself. i was a green dot, by the way; my arrow was stationary.

controls were normal, except it was like flying an RC helicopter, where it was all backwards when i was running towards myself. pretty fun, actually.

i ran myself downstairs, blind, and tried to decon in a tube, to no avail.

one of my squaddies was kind enough to fly back in and kill me in the end, and everything progressed fine after that.

Never had that happen to me before, reminds me of the camera in Resident Evil 2, where it would always float above you in a position which was bloody useless to your life-preserving endevours :P
