View Full Version : Half-Life 2 Related Nonsense
I was cruising around my gaming sites this morning and I came upon this picture. Evidently Valve finalized their game box.

that's win... although not quite as much as the old box, imo
Agreed. But it's still bad-ass, like Freeman's saying, "Go ahead. Make my day."
no more like... "Not only can I do calculus... I can also blow your fucking head off. That's right... I went to MIT, bitch."
they teach head-blowing-off at mit?
if i'd known i woulda worked a lot harder in high school
I would hope they would... for the cots...
But I think they'd do it in some cool way... like with a railgun... or plasma weapon.

Today on Evil Avatar (http://www.evilavatar.com)... Can you say "2005"?
"We've already spent millions into this project, and we're willing to spend as much as we need to make this the best first person experience ever. If that means delaying the game to 2005, we'll do it without any hesitation. If it means sinking another $20 million into the project, we can do it. Rest assured, if we delay the game, it'll be only to blow your socks off even more when it finally releases."
You go Gabe...
Those rat fucking bastards... they should have never said ANYTHING about it.
Can anyone say... Duke Nukem Forever?

Who? What? That name sounds so familiar.
Doesn't it? I remember reading about it when I still subscribed to PC Gamer...
Note: I canceled my subscription to PC Gamer in 1999.
Can anyone say... Duke Nukem Forever?
those were the first words outta my mouth when bliz told me
Great Gamers think alike my friend.
Was reading over at halflife2.net (http://www.halflife2.net). It's most likely more speculation, but it appears that HL2 is still set to be released sometime this year.
Half-Life 2 still set for 2004 release
There have been a lot of rumours and assumptions produced at other sites (or should we say tabloids?) about Half-Life 2 being delayed until 2005. This isn’t the case at all; people are simply getting confused by a hypothetical comment from Gabe Newell.

Most likely, but we can still hope.
AIX Gaming (http://www.aixgaming.com/) has some new HL2 screen shots available if you want to check them out.

As I expected... with the start of E3 2K4... more Half-Life 2 information is surfacing...
This is what we have now from FileShack (http://www.fileshack.com)
- Half-Life 2 multiplayer is Counter-Strike on the Source engine and will be available at the same time as when Half-Life 2 ships. Counter-Strike gameplay doesn't seem to have changed much, if at all. Graphics of course, are much improved.
- Half-Life 1 is also ported over to the Source engine and will be available at the same time as when Half-Life 2 ships.
- During the presentation, Gabe Newell reiterated that Half-Life 2 is shipping this summer, although no specific date was given.
- Team Fortress 2 was not mentioned at all.
Also they have the E3 2K4 HL2 Trailer available for download:

It requires an account... so just use your junk email account and get yourself this new video... ..
