View Full Version : Command abilitys
Orbital Strikes you know those things that kill whores get after spaming LFSM for a long time with no intent to Help lead you empire, but instead they just want to kill alot of people fast.
So what i want is for them to change the CR4 and CR5 gains from Orbital Strikes to a new panel.
CR4 Panel:
Commanders panel
-Gives you a list of SLs and PLs on your cont.
CR5 Panel:
Commanders panel (5)
-Gives you a list of all SLs and PLs and what cont they are on.
Much like Hayoo's idea ( Hayoo's command ability (http://www.planetside-idealab.com/images/commanderspane.gif) )
But with only a list of names and the amount of members in there squad or platoon.

Like it a lot :)
Anything that stops the mindless from getting CR5 just for the big OS.
Or make the OS more tactical and less killspamwonderray.
Have the CR4 plot 2 points on the map, and a MUCH narrower (2-3m?) beam would fire along that pathway, making the OS a directable lazer meant for clearing courtyards or stopping an LLU on a bridge.
The "Mega-OS" would allow for 25m more of firing distance, and the choice of a third plot point so the beam can zig-zag once.
The "kill whores" would still find a way to use that untacticly. i think they should Nerf the OS to 1 Damage and give the NME a moveing WP on where you are.
well, with a 3m beam, it would be very hard to kill spam. That small of a beam means it needs to be directed.
True but its main use would be to un mine a brige or anything not moveing whitch i guess is more tactiful than i thought.

I was under the impression that CR4 gets EMP pulse, and CR5 gets OS.
CR3 gets EMP blast
CR4 gets mini OS
CR5 gets big OS

So, at what point can you draw on the map?
/whosl and /whopl show you all the squad leaders, and all the platoon leaders (including the SLs in that platoon) on the continent that you are on (no matter your CR).
/who sl and /who pl shows you all the SLs and PLs in game, same as above. (The difference is the space between who and sl/pl.)
I would certainly not like to see that command removed. And, while I would not mind an extra panel added somewhere to show CR4+ that information in a neater format... Hrma... ya, I don't really see the need. :shrugs:
Any added functionality (ie. how many soldiers are in each squad) could be abused as a 'reason to get CR5 quick.' If you know who has the largest squads then you can get BP faster... so, yet another reason to get CR5 first, and then get BR20... regardless of how much you know about the game. This leads to even more CR5s who know little to nothing about the game... But, still have global and the gumption to use it and tell people to do things that make no sense.
well any suggestions to geting ride of the stuiped CR5s like the ones that have been calling searhus in the last week just makeing it a 3way

how about empire spacific No0by slaughter devises *evil laugh* *slaps himself*
NC- orbital artillerty "meteor shower" large area, less damage
VS-partical beam, size of an os but moves The commander places 2 dots on the map both must be withen 175 meters of eachother partical beam goes from point A to point B "lots o' damage"
TR- "3 shell ownage" pick from 2 types HEAT(armor killer) or Cluster (grunt killer)
sends 3 shells each the size of an ANT at a enemy(s) good for tightly packed enemies
and maybe if you steal an enemy's CUD you could use one ONCE NOT TRICE!

Interesting ideas, but there should be a more defined radius for the NC and TR. Also it would be interesting if the VS could have more than two points to set a path but the strike can only turn slowly around so it can't just go back over itself, by the time it gets turned 90 degrees then its time is up.

The Tr one is about the size of a tower the NC has small damage (%75 damage) over an area the size of a amp station,
how about for the VS one you can set as many points as you want as long as they add up to 175 meters or less and, yes this was on command and conquer generals :)
