View Full Version : tango art
maybe i can help... but you all know i actually suck, so don't ask too much
Thanks Martyr! :) Good to know we've got another artist standing by to help. I just wish more people could sign up or help fellow players illustrate/flesh out their ideas. PS needs more of that.
hah, i almost helped greyflcn create a flash concept of his idea for fixing bwgs (bigwigs?) ... but i ran out of time and he quit planetside in the same week. i worked with bliz once (long ago) to create a concept of an electronic warfare aircraft, but it ended up looking very much like the real-life E6B, so that didn't work out either.
so, i consider myself fairly useless, but willing to help anyway.

Greyflcn quit?? Man, he posted some great ideas. :(
Have I seen any of your concept art on the OF?
Hey the Prowler is an awesome craft :) I know I wouldn't mind seeing that in PS. Aren't they replacing that with a modified Hornet now, called the Growler?
no, never been on the OF - i stay away from that place at all costs.
this is the e6 concept (obviously couldn't be called a prowler in PS)
you can see why we canned this version - looks way too much like the real one

anyway, it was supposed to jam enemy radar in a radius, scramble weapon locks (but the TR would love that, maybe a bad idea), and disable motion sensors (useless since sensor shield/ce adjustments) below 60% speed.
our favorite feature makes it a crewed vehicle, with a 2nd man to operate a chin-style jammer grenade launcher, maybe avaliable on a wing pod (bfr-style variable loadouts?). no other weapons, top speed around 95/100; didn't decide on afterburners

Wow, that's sweet looking :o
You're right though, it does look exactly like it. :) But all you have to do is make it look blocky and presto you have the Reaver's cousin. :P
Edit: Wait, is that the Prowler or the Intruder? I might have named it wrong.
intruder (http://www.globalaircraft.org/planes/a-6_intruder.pl)
prowler (http://www.globalaircraft.org/planes/ea-6b_prowler.pl[/url)
the prowler is the electronic-warfare variant of the intruder airframe
Yeah, something in the back of my mind was telling me to recheck my facts. :)
I'm also always here to help :D
Actually im not... I need to led my outfit!
I haven't been on emerald in 3 days...
lol. I probably need to get on tonight as well. Not sure if I can. So many obligations. :(

I'm an awful artist, but I've got plenty of know-how for vehicle design and I'm handy with Photoshop.
I am kinda new here and am hoping I can help a bit. I am pretty good with Photoshop7 and I got lots of friends who can make me almost anything I ask for. I am pretty good at thinking of abstract designs and good a hand-drawn artwork though my scanner is crappy....so if you need a good thinker just ask me!
Welcome aboard, Jake-O. :)
yah i'm okay at concept art, I'm good at drawing with pencil, but i don't have the money for any extre comp stuff (like a scanner), and i suck at computer drawing. so i use paint, and it gets the point across.
If anyone needs help with flash i am learning in AS2 so i can help with any codeing if you need it.
